Staff Biographies
Linda
- Executive Director -
Linda started her career with Inkster Community Child Care Inc. in 1990. She became Assistant Director in 2000 and Executive Director in 2003. Linda earned her ECE III in Child Program Management through Assiniboine College. Linda has led the centre and her staff by example, modeling and sharing the importance of ongoing learning and education. In her 26 years of experience at the centre, Linda has been dedicated to the success of Inkster Community Child Care Inc. She is passionate in her commitment to her staff and the families of the centre and is a staunch advocate for early learning and the continued excellence in the quality of child care offered at ICCCI. Linda is a forerunner in the introduction of technology to child care management and programming and has been a presenter on the subject at the Manitoba Child Care Association’s Early Learning and Child Care Conference.
Maria enjoys family time with her husband and two children. Her hobbies include arts & crafts and photography. Maria makes adorable crafts with bottle caps including keychains and necklaces and has gifted her appreciative colleagues with her designs.
Maria joined Inkster Community Child Care in 1999 as an ECE III and presently works with the school-age program. Maria has a Bachelor of Human Ecology from the University of Manitoba with a major in Family Studies and a minor in Special Needs.

Kerry Borsa
Kerry is an ECE III and has been at ICCCI for 10 years. She works in the preschool room in the mornings and is kindergarten program supervisor in the afternoons.
Kerry enjoys reading, walking and travelling (pre-pandemic). She is the proud mother of two grown sons.
Nevenka has been with Inkster Community Child Care for over seven years. Nevenka is our dedicated housekeeper and it’s through her tireless work that our centre stays beautiful and clean and we enjoy healthy, delicious snacks every day.
Nevenka is originally from Benkovac, Croatia. She has been married for 35 years and has one son with her in Winnipeg and a daughter who still lives in Serbia, whom she misses dearly. Nevenka is the proud grandmother of three.

Joanne
Joanne joined Inkster Community Child Care in December of 2019. Her interest in early childhood education began when she brought her son to the parent-child program at Elwick School. She was impressed with how the teacher communicated and how she approached children. She then began her studies in Early Childhood Education in CVE at Maples Collegiate. She also obtained an Applied Accounting certificate from Red River College.
During her time off, Joanne enjoys going out of the city with her two boys and hubby to explore different places in Manitoba. She loves making crafts, baking and being a plant mom.
Ayana graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a BA in Psychology and Sociology. She was always interested in Early Childhood Education and joined Inkster Community Child Care in January, 2019.
Ayana enjoys reading, listening to music, playing cards and crafts. She finds joy in seeing the creativity that comes from the children’s crafts and ideas.

Mya
Mya recently joined our center in June 2022. She is a graduate from Garden City
Collegiate and went on to Early Child Care Education in CVE at Maples Collegiate where she completed her CCA. Mya enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies include camping, listening to music and volunteering in her spare time.
Lexi graduated from Red River College with her ECE II diploma in 2020 and joined the team in the fall of 2022. She has 7 years of experience in child care in Manitoba. Lexi's passion for an Indigenous based curriculum and nature lead her teaching. In her free time she enjoys being outside, baking and cooking, and painting.

Amanda
Amanda has been interested in working with children at a very young age. She completed an 8 month program with The Momentum Center and entered our center as a student. Amanda was hired on full time in May 2022 and completed her 40 hour CCA course soon after. She enjoys doing arts and crafts with the children.
Joanne became a part of Inkster Community Childcare in December 2019. She developed an interest in early childhood education when she attended the parent-child program at Elwick School with her son. She was impressed by the communication and approach of the educator towards children. This led her to pursue Early Childhood Education studies in CVE at Maples Collegiate, where she obtained her CCA. She continued to expand her knowledge in this field and achieved her ECE II in April 2024.
Joanne enjoys going on adventures and creating memories with her husband and two boys. She also loves making crafts, baking, and being a plant mom.
